Dr. Omid Aschari is founder and chairman of ASG Strategy Group AG, St.Gallen, Switzerland. He teaches strategic management, leadership and team competencies at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and has been Executive Director of the Master's program "Strategy and International Management" since its inception in 2003. During this period the program has evolved to become one of the most profiled educational programs of its caliber in Europe.

After his studies in business administration at the Johannes-Kepler University in Linz, Dr. Aschari pursued a MBA degree at the renowned Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, Claremont Graduate University, U.S.A. Insights gained from personal encounters and conversations with the world-known pioneer and mastermind of modern management Prof. Peter F. Drucker (1909-2005), whose courses he attended, continue to influence his understanding of strategy, management and leadership today. Due to outstanding scholastic achievements Dr. Aschari has been issued membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, the highest national distinction of AACSB accredited MBA programs.  

In 1999 he began his Ph.D. studies and researched in the field of navigation of complex organizational change processes. He followed up on his research by investigating the demands on leadership, strategy and communication behavior for creating meaningful change in organizations.

Omid Aschari is an internationally certified instructor and coach (INLPTA, completion with distinction), and is certified as a NLP Master-Practitioner (GANLP).

His professional experience is extensive and includes assignments both in Switzerland and abroad. His professional stations include the establishing and revitalization of organizations, occupation as a management consultant with a globally leading consulting corporation based in the U.S.A. and as project director for a leading Swiss management consultancy firm. His wealth of experience has been shaped by a multitude of mandates in various organizations and situations.

Dr. Aschari is a core faculty member of the research field "Strategic Management" at the Institute of Management at the University of St. Gallen. He serves as board member of the DMB Advisory Board, Nanyang Business School at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Omid Aschari is regarded as an international expert in strategy, leadership and change with a profound understanding of the related interdependencies and success factors. His personal drive is to empower people rather than merely educating them. The ASG offering is aligned accordingly.

Within the scope of his personal studies he is engaged with the societal challenges of our time, world religions, eastern and western philosophy, astrophysics, dynamics of social systems, modern psychology and music.

Omid Aschari, an avowed cosmopolitan, was born in Austria and lives with his wife and three sons in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
